The 2025 Flagship Ranking

The Definitive Avatar Games Tier List — All 47 Titles, Ranked by 14,200 of You.

Six years of continuous votes, three studio closures, one canonical ledger. This is the community-weighted ranking of every officially licensed Avatar: The Last Airbender video game — from the 2006 GBA original to last winter's browser release. Cast a single ballot before Friday at midnight, and your vote feeds the bands you see.

Methodology

How the tier list is actually built.

Every ballot is one of four weighted votes — a five-axis ledger that we rebuilt in 2019 and have not touched since, because the axes held. The bands shift only when the community shifts them.

Axis 01

Gameplay Quality

How the title plays in 2025 — controller feel, frame pacing, encounter design, camera, and the moment-to-moment loop. A 2006 GBA brawler is judged as a GBA brawler, not against a 2025 action RPG.

Axis 02

Lore Fidelity

Whether the game stays inside the canonical ATLA universe — bending taxonomy, character voice, era placement, and the small lore cues that separate a licensed adaptation from a coat of paint.

Axis 03

Replay Value

New Game+, bonus content, branching routes, post-credits bosses, the second playthrough you actually start. We weight replay against a ten-hour working week, not against an unemployed speedrunner.

Axis 04

Speedrun Viability

Whether the routes are clean enough to race. This is why the 2007 PS2 title sits a band higher than its sequel — and why the four speedrun.com records on our wall are spread across three different games.

The full methodology document, including the original 2019 weighting paper and the 2022 revision notes, lives in the wiki under /wiki/ · ranking methodology.

An Editorial Aside

“We do not rank these games to wound the people who loved them. We rank them because fandom is a craft — and a craft is the slow, careful work of saying what is good, and why, and to whom. The ledger is a love letter written in five axes.”

— Mira Vasquez, Lead Lore Consultant, in the 2022 winter retrospective
The Ledger

The 2025 community tier list — all 47 games ranked.

Bands are color-coded by the dominant elemental nation of each game's setting. The community vote column shows the percentage of ballots placing the title in its current band — a 90% is a settled placement; a 51% is contested.
