The Lore Wiki: 12,000 entries on every officially licensed ATLA game since 2005.

A cross-referenced encyclopedia of characters, nations, bending disciplines, bosses, items, and cut content — written by nine die-hard fans, vetted against the 61 original episodes and the three animated films, and updated the moment a new entry clears review.

Free, no paywall, no spoilers without a toggle. 38,500 readers already get the Friday mail.

Editorial Method · The 99.2%

How a fan-run wiki holds itself to citation-worthy standards.

The Avatar Games Hub Lore Wiki is not a crowd-sourced scratchpad. Every one of its 12,000 entries is cross-referenced against the 61 original episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the three animated films, then graded by one of three lore consultants before it ships to the public index.

We track four canonical sources, in this order of weight: the aired episode (highest), the official series bible excerpts shared by former crew, the licensed games themselves (where developers explicitly drew from show lore), and — only as supplementary — collector interviews and developer postmortems. Anything that cannot be traced to one of those four tiers is filed under "cut content" or "adaptation divergence" rather than presented as canon.

Our 99.2% accuracy figure is audited every quarter. We pull 200 random entries, re-verify each against the source tape or transcript, and publish the methodology, the misses, and the corrections. The current quarter closed at 198 of 200 clean — the two misses were a transposition error in the Fire Nation capital entry and a misattributed voice actor credit, both since corrected and footnoted in the revision log.

  1. 14 Mar · 09:42 PT Corrected

Fire Nation Capital — corrected succession dates

The "Fire Lord's coronation" line previously read 97 ASC; corrected to 94 ASC per the S1E04 dialogue close-caption and the Burning Earth developer commentary.

  2. 13 Mar · 22:17 PT New entry

Foggy Swamp Tribe — added 3 new sub-locations

The Wan Shi Tong's Library crossover zone, the Laogai-era hidden temple, and the canonical "river spirit" boss arena now each have their own indexed pages, with screenshots and warp-point maps.

  3. 13 Mar · 16:05 PT Expanded

Appa (game appearances) — full 14-title matrix added

A new matrix lists every licensed game Appa appears in, his role (mount, summon, escort NPC, or playable DLC), and the engine path used for his flight model.

  4. 12 Mar · 11:31 PT Flagged · reader report

Combustion Man — invincibility window corrected

A reader running the GBA title on real hardware submitted a 38-frame clip showing the head-shot window opens earlier than the wiki stated. New timing: 4 frames, not 2. Re-tested on three platforms.

Cross-referencing 61 episodes sounds romantic until you are four hours deep in the Jet episodes with two transcripts that disagree by half a sentence. The discipline isn't glamour — it's patience and a stubborn refusal to publish on a hunch.
